Green Mining Services
The North Central Region is key to the development of Saskatchewan’s most important mineral resources and mining operations. Mining is big business in Saskatchewan, and is expected to represent 17-20% of the province’s annual GDP every year for the nest 20 years. Furthermore, the province is rich not only in the quality and quantity of its minerals, but also the variety. This includes some of the world’s best deposits of potash, uranium, rare earth minerals, gold and diamonds along with other resources such as oil and gas.
The North Central Green Network links environmental services to the different technical and business support activities for resource exploration and mining.

This includes some of the world’s best deposits of potash, uranium, rare earth minerals, gold and diamonds and other resources such as oil and gas.
Prince Albert is a prime location for technical and business support services in the North Central Region, particularly for the resource sector. With its connection to the emerging diamond industry, the City is also strategically located for second tier operations.

Tourism
North Central Saskatchewan
Tourism in Saskatchewan represents $1.6 B and is the province’s 3rd largest industry. Foreign visitors represent 31.75% of tourism expenditures in Saskatchewan (compared to only 20.29% in Canada). The North Central Region boats many of the finest tourist attractions and visitor experiences in the province, including Prince Albert National Park, prime luxury resort facilities, and the site of the Riel Resistance, the last military conflict in Canada (1865).
